Richard K. Weimar, DDS
 A native of Minnesota, Dr. Weimar was born and raised in the Twin Cities. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, he received his doctor of dental surgery degree in 1983. He opened his practice the following year.
Dr. Weimar is committed to providing his patients with the latest technology to offer a comfortable, rewarding dental experience. In July 2001, Dr. Weimar completed advanced training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York for Patient Management with IV & Nitrous Sedation in General Dentistry. That same year, he became a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), where he trained to provide sedation dentistry to phobic dental patients. Now Dr. Weimer caters to the unique needs of patients with stress and anxiety over dental care. He can also perform many procedures in one visit, making large cases more convenient for patients. Sedation dentistry has proven to be a miracle for those who have avoided the dentist for years.
Dr. Weimar expanded his practice to include aesthetic implant dentistry upon graduating from The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in 2000. Since then, he joined the Academy of Osseointegration for Implant Dentistry and graduated from the Perio Institute specializing in implantation. Whether you’re in need of placement or restoration, Dr. Weimar can facilitate all you implant needs.
Dr. Weimar also leads the way in the Twin Cities area in the use of CEREC one-visit crown technology. He completed numerous advanced courses in CEREC design and fabrication and is pleased to use his skill and expertise to create aesthetic porcelain restorations in a single visit.
In addition, Dr. Weimar earned certification for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), under the auspices of the American Heart Association, as of 2004. Mastering the ACLS requires extensive knowledge and training in the medical field, and such a comprehensive understanding of the procedure is vital in the urgent treatment of medical emergencies like cardiac arrest.
When he isn't improving lives through contemporary dentistry or studying for continuing education courses, Dr. Weimar enjoys spending time with his wife, Kathy, and their two children. He also enjoys golf, basketball, and hunting.
