If you need a new filling, he'll use air abrasion Air Abrasion (Dental Technology) instead of a dental drill to gently remove decayed matter and prepare your tooth for restoration. Then he'll tint a small amount of composite resin to match your existing smile and permanently bond it into your prepared cavity. Composite resin is durable, long-lasting, and won't decay, so it will protect your tooth for years to come. Dr. Weimar also replaces old metal fillings with tooth-colored composite resin.
