SINUS LIFT

Due to the sinus cavity residing just above the bone in that area, there is often little volume to support an implant post. Dr. Richard Weimar offers advanced sinus lift treatment to access the sinus cavity and place bone graft material to create the required volume. After a sinus lift, dental implants are able to be placed in this area.
RIDGE AUGMENTATION
If you have had missing teeth for some time, have received oral trauma, or have an ill-fitting denture, the bone in the jaw may be uneven. This can create an unattractive appearance as well as make it difficult to replace the missing teeth. By placing a bone graft material along the ridge, we can even out the jaw line and restore the bone volume.
SOCKET PRESERVATION
After tooth extraction, an empty socket is left behind where the tooth roots once were. Without adding bone grafting material to this area, recession will occur and hinder the ability to receive dental implants down the road. We can preserve your tooth socket so if you choose to receive implants at some time, your bone loss will be minimal, allowing for successful placement.
GUIDED TISSUE REGENERATION
When performing a bone graft it is important to protect the grafting material to allow it to heal properly. Guided tissue regeneration involves placing a biocompatible membrane over the bone granules to keep them in place and prevent gum tissue from interfering with the healing process.
